iPad Air Sleep Function Works even from the back after screen fix

I have a iPad Air 4g LTE that after the Screen Replacement the Sleep function from the front works with the smart cover HOWEVER it also works from the rear causing it to sleep when its not supposed to.

Any ideas what could cause this?
