iPhone 6 suddenly, with no warning died. Apple store says water damage.
My computer, Windows recognizes the phone and sees the amount of date 31.8 GB of data but cannot access it. Any ideas? Previous answers before 2014 does not work.

Can you still power on your phone (without the screen displaying anything) ? Does it still ring when you play with the swtich or "bip" when you plug it into the wall ?
If it's the case, try to replace your screen. Maybe it's just the screen which is broken. It could be worth to try.

Try to download a tool called itools from itools.hk. Then connect your iphone to the computer, open itools and see if the software can access your iphone.

Is your iPhone 6 set to back up automatically? If yes, your data has been backed up to iCloud when your iPhone 6 was charging and connecting to wifi.

if you try to retrieve data by windows simply you can connect your iPhone via lightning cable camera album shows on my computer
