Power button stopped working after water dmg treatment

I recently opened up an iPhone 6 that stopped working after it was dropped in water. I removed the logic board and cleaned it all up. After I put the phone back together it turned on and seemed to work just fine. After Restarting the phone a second time the power/sleep button stopped working. Does anybody have any ideas or what could have happened or what I could try doing to fix it (without removing and replacing the power button/cable?
