Startup problem HD fail OSX install fail

The machine was working fine, then the screen appears something like a closing curtain with faded colour from top to bottom. The screen is faded and appears a black box at the center with 2 or 3 different languages saying that I have to restart the computer.

I restarted it and then cannot boot it up again. The screen only appears with the clock spinning and after around 1 minute, the fan keeps making the jet sound and never stops. From now everytime I turn it on, the fan still keeps the jet sound.

The machine not only cannot turn on, try to hook from an external HD also nothing happen and it freeze by itself.

Things I have tried and nothing help:

1- Ran Warrior, Drive Genius, Disk Repair all through CD or by hooking up with my powerbook G3 and nothing happen. All of them says the same thing, cannot repair the HD or the volume. Fail fail fail.

2- Tried to reinstall the whole OSX 10.4, it install half and then says again installation failed.

About the HD, sometimes I can see it and sometimes cannot when i hook up with other mac.

Any idea what's going on?

If you have another drive install it and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't try swapping your memory. Select your G5 Model and the the guide to replace the hard drive and the memory. Good luck Ralph

+ If it's starting and running from your DVD's then it's definitely the hard drive. Look on the bottom of the stand for your exact model and we can direct you to the repair manual.

I tried the AHT from the installation disk and it didn't pass the logic board, so i think the main problem is the logic board.
