When answering no one hears me

On my sons iphone you can't here him when he answers a call he can hear you but when he talks nothing. It works fine to text and and he can listen to music he can even use the voice recorder and make videos with sound . Is there a fix for this or is it time for a new phone. Its not worth taking to the apple store

Ive seen this issue before and its caused by bad connections iin the mic antenna . you can solder your connections or try this and as dumb as it looks it actually works for a while
