Wobbly and loose screen

My macbook pro with retina was working fine until about a month ago. But recently, I noticed that when I tip my screen forward just a little bit, it will just go back to its original position. I think this is because the hinge is not tight enough. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Take the back cover off your laptop there are 10 screws holding it in place .Once you have it off look at each side for the hinge support There are 2 torx headed screws on each end I think there torx 8 but I'm not sure. to find them you may have to move a wiring harness for your screen cables on one end and there's some sponge covering the other end .Tighten them to snug but be careful not to over tighten them .They are also screws under the black cover on the hing itself snug them up as well if needed. Hope this helps

You are correct that the first Torx screws you encounter are T8 (qty 6). However, the screws under the black hinge cover are T6 Torx screws (qty 6). In my case the T8s were tight, but after removing all of the T8 screws, I could tell that the T6s inside must be very loose, because the hinges wiggled bigly. I followed the ifixit.com "Display Replacement" directions for my specific MacBook Pro, and removed the screen to get to the T6's, tightened them down good and it worked like a charm! Thanks for your very helpful post.
