Hi angelaprater,
You can clean your iPhone by using 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, and a toothbrush, this will allow you to remove corrosion and displace any liquid that is still in there, you could then put it in a tub filled with isyorop to alcohol to displace any further liquid.
Although I would highly recommend you taking it to a professional that uses a ultrasonic cleaner, this is much safer than using a toothbrush and way more effective, as ultrasonic cleaning can get to places that a toothbrush can not.
As for answering the question, yes, there are water indicator stickers on the logic board of the phone, there are two I believe on the board itself, one usually located around the top and one usually near the bottom of the logic board. :-)

Hey angelaprater, if there is water damage you should first dismantle the device and properly clean it using isopropyl alcohol. This guide will properly show you how to appropriately clean the device. After that, make sure everything works fine (such as check if battery/other parts need replacement).
