Monday my ipad 2 worked but Monday night it did not work so now what do I do

Kari Peikert, make sure it is charged with a proper charger. Keep it on the charger for at least an hour. If you don't see the charging screen within an hour, or you see the connect to power screen, check your connector, USB cable, and power adapter. Make sure that everything is plugged in firmly, free of debris, and not damaged. You might want to try a different USB cable or power adapter. Then try to force a restart by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. More information on here.

I would suggest trying a reset first by holding the home and power button for 10-15 seconds, then do what Oldturkey03 says.
