Oven valve wont turn off completely. Can you adjust so that it will shut off.

It is supposed to allow enough gas to keep the pilot light going. Are you trying to completely shut the oven down, like for several months?

No sir, when it's shut off there is a little gas that still seeps out from the orifice
pilot light is going but if i put a match to the orifice I'll get a small flame.
Sounds like you may need to replace the valve. Go here and put in your model number to find the correct parts: https://my.vulcanfeg.com/resourcecenter/...
Remember that gas pipe threads run opposite of water pipe threads. If using sealant, use the yellow pipe dope or yellow teflon tape instead of the white.
