touch screen still frozen after reseting

my sony experia z screen is frozen, I have reset holding down the volume and power button and all reset fine but touch screen is still not working, everything looks fine the phone rings when a call comes through but i just cant activate anything on the screen, so basically I am stuck on the home screen without being able to enter my password.
