Preguntas 342 Ver todo

Fuzzy loading screen then white.

I was told it was a hard drive issue but am unsure if it is. The fuzzy screen with the loading makes me think gpu. If it is gpu where do I get a replacement? The first 2 pics are of normal boot. The 3rd pic is safe boot and specs. pic 4 is of the entire screen in safe boot.

Can you take a snapshot of the screen so we can see what you see. Post it here by editing your question and using the ribbon menu button on the far right in the dialog box.

At this point it could still be the LCD display or the LVDS cable or the GPU card. Its clearly not the Hard drive.

Do you have an external monitor which you can plug in to see if the problem follows? If it does then its the GPU card, if not then the internal LCD display and/or the LVDS cable is damaged.

I do have 2 monitors. 1 hdmi and 1 dvi. I will get an adapter and try that.

I connected my external monitor to it and it looked the same as the imac in dual display. I guess finding a gpu is my next step. I assume I have to open up the imac and find out what gpu i need, or is the specs that i pulled up in safe mode all the info I need to buy the correct gpu?
