Problem sending and recieving text from one contact on T-Mobile

I have no problem sending and receiving texts from all my contacts except one. With this contact, we are both on T-Mobile, texts either arrive the next day or mostly not at all, it is the same for both of us both ways. Any thoughts would be appreciated,

I would give T-Mobile a call.

It could be something within your area. See if your friend and you can stand side by side to see if you encounter the problem then (hitting the same tower group). I would even get a third phone (iPad) to capture the event to prove to T-Mobile (as they say seeing is believing). Good luck!
