My macbook pro freezes up shortly after I log in. Then it will restart. Sometimes it will also do the 3 beeps. I took it in to have it looked at and they reseat the RAM. Any advice before I start spending money to have it fixed?

The three beeps indicates a RAM issue. Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to about this Mac > More info > memory and see how much RAM it's seeing. Now you need to determine if you have a bad stick or a bad slot. That one stick out and boot. See if you get the beeps. Next move the stick to the other slot and give it a try. Do the same with the other stick. Try to observe ESD procedures by grounding yourself out before working with RAM. Please give us the last four figures of your serial number so we know what your machine is and what type of RAM it takes.
