I replaced my battery with the guide and when I plugged it in it charged and then dissipated a screen with a apple support url. I have used the reset technique many times and it still goes to this white screen with the url. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

murraylebovitz18, that is most likely caused by your hard drive not responding. Make sure that you seated all the cables properly and straight. Before you take it apart again, run the diagnostics. Here is a guide on how to access the menu and what each step means. Right now it does sound like a HDD error and not a battery issue.

I think it is the battery because last summer the battery life got worse and worse until it died and the ipod crashed on me one day.
