Possible to move the Reed Switch in bottom case?

So, on my Late 2008 macbook pro, my upper screen hinges broke and the screen was a mess, so I got someone to fix it for me and replace it with a (what he said was a mid 2009 - early 2010) screen. He said these were better because the 2008 screens were notorious for the adhesive coming apart from the screen. Well, when I got home I noticed that the computer does not go to sleep when shut, I did some research and found that on the top of the screen, the magnet is in the very top left corner and on the bottom case, it is on the left middle.... I am wondering if it is possible to move the reed switch in the bottom case and move it toward the bottom of the case to align with the magnetic piece so it works again?

Easiest work around… place a small magnet on the lower case, or use the Sleep option from a power button poke.

Much less messing around trying to move hardware.

Work smarter, not harder.
