Replaced Digitizer, and now it will not power on.

I replaced the Digitizer and it was instantly working, but the power button no longer worked. I need to replace the power button, I know that. I unplugged the connections to the motherboard so I could clean out all the broken pieces of glass and when I re-assembled the unit it will not even power on now. Is this because I am now waiting on a power flex and can not hard reset it?
