Mine does this but the screen says preheating.

- de

Me too. It worked this morning then tonight it stopped dispensing. Nothing was changed.

- de

Mine says it's filling and the water pours out the bottom.

- de

Mine is doing this. Heats up says it's dispensing very little comes out then it shuts off like it's done with barely doing anything???

- de

Mine heats up, then starts to dispense water, and only a spoonful of water is ejected, and then it shuts off like it has completed a full cycle. But has not!

I brushed the needle area, unplugged, replugged, restarted, still did not brew. The water dispensed through the upper left plastic overflow nozzle;

I then took the reservoir off, cleaned the water suction water area unplugged, replugged in, restarted, still did not brew.

FINALLY BEFORE RESORTING TO TAKING THIS (&^%#$%^&&*APART, I thought ol' school methodologies, ( hitting the t.v. made it focus better........) SO, I unplugged my KEURIG, took the reservoir off, AND I turned the entire KEURIG UP SIDE DOWN OVER THE SINK, HIT THE BOTTOM WITH MY FLAT HAND TEN TIMES (10 X), THEN I TURNED THE KEURIG RIGHT SIDE UP, replugged it in, restarted, O M G!!!!!! IMMEDIATELY, ,,MY KEURG STARTED BREWING BETTER THAN THE FIRST DAY I PURCHASED IT YEARS AGO!!!!!!

MORAL OF THE STORY? SPANKING, SMACKING THE BOTTOM, HITTING BOTTOM IS LEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES AND IT DOES WORK! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA- TEALE RHODES

I have a different model, but the water reservoir is in the same location. After four years of no problems, the water output kept diminishing until it totally stopped. I searched for a remedy, but found none that worked.

You may consider this a little inconvenient, but it works perfectly for my Keurig.

When starting the process, remove the top of the water reservoir. After pressing the flashing blue light, the sound from the unit changes after about 2 or 3 seconds and when this happens, hold the tip of a finger over the nylon drain tube until the brew cycle ends. For some unknown reason, the air flow is expelled through this outlet, instead of forcing the hot water to make the coffee. Blocking the air forces the internal pressure to expel the hot water as it was intended to do. As long as this works, I will delay purchasing another unit.

Works Just like you said....

Betting there is an issue with the pump??? May disassemble mine and give it a good cleaning

Thank for the info

Thanks! Made mine work and it hasn’t been used much and was stored. Ran another cup through old pod and it sounded and worked perfect!

- de

6 year old Keurig. Blocking that tube made it work great. Works now as before and I don't have to block the tube anymore. Thanks for the great tip!

- de

Worked for me! Weird fix, but hey, glad it's working again! Don't need to block the tube anymore.

- de

It didn't work for me, but I did see a little bit of water coming out of the spigot, tried it a few times more and actually did the "spanking it" thing and neither worked. Brilliant idea though, thank you!

I have a Keurig 2.0 K500 and had the same issue but it is very very easy to fix! The part that you need came with the machine its in a small plastic bag and is orange with a clear plastic bubble on the bottom and also in the bag is a small piece of paper that shows how to clean the needle and unplug your machine. Good Luck!

I had this problem too and thought it was fatal so I bought a new machine. the new machine came with a maintenance accessory (my old one did not!) The problem was simply a clogged needle. After clearing the needle with the maintenance item, the old unit worked as new. There was no hint of this accessory anywhere so was unaware of the clogging potential easily solved with the "maintenance accessory" that did not come with my original machine Shame on Keurig. Now I have two coffee makers!

the clog was coffee grounds, not from hard water deposits.

I used a straightened-out paper clip and did the same thing and it worked OK again for a few days (although it wasn't really stopped up). Then, I make the mistake of putting another of the BOLD coffee pods in it and it stopped putting out water again!! I don't understand why except it's harder for it to push the water through the pod, maybe?? I'm flummoxed.

- de

donate your second one ?

- de

Two spankings didn't work nor did giving it the finger. I realized I had a strong willed child, so I read further and found the cleaning of the needle. My Keurig is now very cooperative. Thanks SO MUCH!

- de

The spanking work! LMAO. I Gave her 10 wacks. GENIUS!

I also was experiencing the same issue. We did not have the maintenance kit either. So, because I was not getting ANY action from the spout, I took the machine to the garage and blew, and blew and blew my compressor blower nozzle into the needle jet. After several attempts, HOT water started squirting out. My was definitely clogged behind the norm I'm suspecting, guess I'll just descale it again at this point. But to have some flow again and the compressor is encouraging.

Mine had the same problem and Keurig said the first 2.0 models didn't come with the needle cleaner. She told me to use an open paper clip to clean it out. But it still doesn't dispense more than 2 oz. of water after cleaning it 6 times. And to think that when we received this model as a present, we gave away an original Keurig that never had this issue or required me to stand for hours pushing the button to get the descale solution and then distilled water through to clean it.

My keurig will purge cold water/coffee if I plug it in, not push start, but hold the brew button for 3-5 seconds, and will keep purging until I release the brew button.. But if I push start, then push the red brew button, which then turns flashing blue, nothing else happens.

Since the pump is pumping to purge I'm thinking the pump works. Since water/coffee makes its way from the reservoir to the coffee cup while purging I'm thinking nothing is stopped up.

Anyone have an idea what's wrong and how to fix it?

- de

Thank you so much. I was just about to toss mine into the trash when I saw your suggestion to clean the needle with an open paper clip. I didnt expect it to work, BUT IT DID!!!! My Keurig is back in working order just as it was before. THANK YOU!!!!

My wife and I had the same problem with a clogged up Keurig classic 55 model, and it was only 20 days old. We called the online help line for Keurig support and got help from an agent who walked us through the entire fix. Took about 15 - 20 minutes. She told us we could also get similar detailed help from viewing their online videos from their website.

Hi Nancy,

Sounds like your Keurig is clogged. Try running a cup of white vinegar and water through it. You might also use a paper clip to clean out the spout and drain.

Hope this helps,

Dante

Clean the two needles under the cover with a bent paper clip, it’s clogged with ground coffee. And try dispensing again.

Mine does this too from time to time; the issue is that coffee grounds stay up in needles that dispenses water into the k cup. This is why I keep a sewing pin or sewing needle close to it and when this happens I use the needle to clear the water dispensing needle. When I do this I always run a 6oz cup of hot water and typically a ton of grounds will pour out clearing the water dispensing needle. Also to avoid this I’ve been getting into the habit of throwing out the used k cup immediately after making a coffee.

Another trick you can try is removing the water dispenser, dry out any excessive water on the area and hold a towel over the hole. Place your fingers on the air nozzle if you have one. The pressure will release water.

Thank you. At this point I've replaced the Keurig with a French press coffee maker. The coffee is much stronger and I prefer it.

I thought about the ‘spanking’ approach, but I applied some scientific method, and inspected the reservoir.. It turns out if it isn’t in ‘flush’ then you will get the symptom of poor flow. In my case, a part had broken off, and wedged in the ‘trough’ that the reservoir inserts, thus stopping it from being fully inserted.

After removing the object wedged in the place where the reservoir is inserted.. it was flush again, fully inserted, and I got normal working flow.

Conclusion: It’s quite likely that the spanking approach could have resolved due to the cause above. But instead of spanking it, just check your reservoir is fully inserted! :)

I have a newer model it will dispense water but when I insert the pod 2 or 3 drops of coffee grains will drop in the cup. How can I resolve this problem?

Same problem and went thru everything before i did the simple thing. Turn it over and open head. Use paper clip or pin to clean out holes on both sides of the pin. The pin is hard to find ( use flashlight and you will see it). Put soda straw on what you cleaned, pinch bottom is straw to make tight seal and BLOW. You can tell it is clear. Turn over and try to brew. I think people have problems because they are not finding the pin that is clogged ( that was my problem). Hope this helps. I was ready to buy new water pump.

Hi. Same here! My keurig just stopped dispensing coffee one day but it still sounded like it was brewing just only drops were being dispensed. After all, I just had to “bleed” the air out of the line. I got my fix from this site so I want to help you out too! It was a SIMPLE fix for me. When you remove the reservoir, to re-fill it with water and place it back on the base, check to see if an air bubble comes up indicating suction or pressure or something. Once I “primed” it (the system) by lifting up the reservoir and placing it down a few times a bubble came up and ta-da! It worked perfectly again. So now, every time I refill the reservoir I make sure to see a bubble come up. I had my Keurig for over 6 years and it still welcomes me every morning with a perfect brew of coffee! I hope this helps!

I put my left hand in, then I pull my left hand out.

I reextend my left hand but this time I shake it all about

This hokey-pokey did nothing but entertain my dog.

Try running the KKKure-rig without coffee cup. I did that and then later it seemed to work.

The best advice, apparently, is to spank it…THE MACHINE! Oh come on, put that away ?

Upside down over the sink, shake it like a polaroid picture then spank it like Lindsey Lohan.

If not, look on craigslist. These are always available.

My Keurig 2.0 wasn’t pumping water like when it was new . Run vinegar through my machine and cleaned all removal parts with soap and water. I also cleaned the water feed tube ( sharp pointed small stainless tube) which punctures the coffee pod. I used a tip cleaner I had for a cutting torch. Small and flexible. Or you could use a small wire. I found out a drill bit 1/16 might work but not as good. My Keurig is back working about like new.
