My laptop fell face down off a table while open and broke one of the parts that holds the screen open. I thought it was the plastic that broke, so I ordered a new one. Now I'm thinking there is another part underneath the plastic that broke. Step 34 shows how to remove the black plastic hinge that I ordered. Is there another part underneath it?

Alaina, not quite sure what you are asking. The hinge is mounted to the case. There should be nothing else under there but the case. Take a couple of pictures and post those with your question so we can see what you are looking at.
