What is this part called and what is its function?
In the guide it is only referred to as the "contact clip". I am asking because I was repairing a phone and this flex got torn in the process. Thanks!

This "contact clip" conducts RF signal. Losing it may cause degraded cellular and/or GPS performance.

No, sorry. I'm referring to the part they have in the pincers of the tweezers. The power/volume/vibrator flex is the cable directly under this piece.
I would say it's just a clip for grounding purposes
Not grounding, it's actually an important RF conductor.
