HDD formatted in Mac, change to PC

I purchased a hard drive formatted on Mac and I cannot install Windows.

Any suggestion on how to go about? I have no operating system on the hard drive, only possibility is a USB stick or a CD/DVD drive.

Boot from USB using apen drive linuxand format to a Windows friendly format (I believe that would be EXT3).
