No agitate or spin after it fills with water

I could hear that my 11 years old machine was laboring. During a normal cycle, it failed to do anything after filling up with water. You could hear an electrical hum but nothing happened. I then replaced the clutch and the motor coupling. Same result. I then bypassed the lid switch. Same result. Electrical hum but no agitation or spin. What's up with my machine?
