How to replicate brushed aluminum sides of iPhone 5S "Space Gray"

I have already dropped my 5s. I smoothed out the smashed chamfered corner with some 2500 grit sandpaper (inspired by this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z31HP_2CN...) . This worked great, but appears too shiny to use on the flat edges.

Anyone tried any method of brushing or sanding to replicate the darker gray on the flat edge?

It's a complicated process, only the factory can do that and it can cost a lot

The case is first polished, then the iphone logo is covered with a protect film, then the case is sand brushed, 3 parts are fused together then anodized, and the edges are cut using precise tools. Then the protect film is removed and the case is anodized again

If the case is damaged, there is no way to perfectly restore it

You're not going to be able to replicate the same brushed aluminum look that it had when it left the factory. It's strongly recommended that you don't try to repair any scratches or defects with the casing, as you'll only get an uneven finish. Since you've already sanded the area where it was dropped, the only way to achieve an even finish would be to sand/polish the entire device to get rid of the texture on the rest of the device. Of course this would result in a flat finish, and not the brushed aluminum you started off with. You'd wanna mask off the Apple logo, as not to destroy the mirrored finish, if you were to try that method.

Test on scrap aluminum, and (guessing) a medium grit sanding stone (used to hone chisels) and straight, uniform strokes (and patience!) you should be able to get close.

My iPhone fell down on the floor by mistakenly. So I want to change the body of my iPhone. Now I have got a small scratch on the side of the iPhone. It's just above the silent button. Will you be able to replace it or should I buy a new case for the iPhone ? Please let me know if it's costing me. I'm now living in Dubai. Is there any chance for me to get a new case. I want my iPhone to look as if new one with original body. Golden colour.
