I already replace the touch pad but still I cannot select from the menu icon. Phone is working properly with its keypad except for the touch pad,. What is wrong with it?

My advice is to open the phone back up and double check that the track pad connection is seated properly. There is only one ribbon cable that connects to the logic board, so this should be easy. Once you have double checked the connection, re-assemble, and test it. If it still does not work, then odds are you have a faulty trackpad. After a quick search for parts it looks like you can get a replacement trackpad for under $5.00. Hope this helps, keep us updated!
