Micro-USB port snapped off from main circuit board

Hi

I have the above device and micro-usb port has snapped off from main circuit board. I no longer have the micro-usb connector. I have started to disassemble to see if I can fix the connector or create a workable connection. The micro-usb provides an input for the internal battery. I have removed all screws and cannot seem to remove any more parts, there seems to be a lot of adhesive holding the unit together. My question is has anybody tried opening this device and been able to get access to the circuit board?

Hey Damian.. family member of mine had the same issue. I removed all the screws... the Glued on END cap screens and even the speakers... There s glue all over the inside of this thing and no easy way to break this unit down.. "AS FAR AS I CAN SEE" without pulling the 2 half apart. I wish I could have better news for you but I'm done.. I put it back together and am using it as a stand for my iPad on my desk... what a joke.. Why didn't they glue the mini usb in there!? They glued everything else.

The identical problem here too. Making devices that can't be serviced is unacceptable. One more expensive piece of technology headed for the recycler's bin.
