Have you checked in Device Manager that the WLAN adapter is not listed under “hidden devices” for some reason? (go to Device Manager > View > click on show hidden devices)

If it is also not listed then here’s a link to the [http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03591281|service manual] taken from this [https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-dv6-7300-quad-edition-notebook-pc-series/5363716/model/5363718/manuals|webpage].

Scroll to p.57 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the WLAN module. Check that the WLAN module card is seated properly into its’ connector i.e. remove and reinsert the card.
If it seems OK and re-seating it doesn’t fix the problem, check in BIOS whether there is an option to enable/disable the WLAN. (not sure if it is there or not). If there is a setting ensure that it is enabled.
I don’t know your laptop but on p.105 of the manual if describes how to access the system hardware diagnostics menu. Hopefully there is a test for the WLAN module.
It may be that the WLAN module has failed and you have to replace it. On p.57 you’ll find the part numbers for the various WLAN modules used in the different variants of your model series. Find the part number appropriate to your particular module (it should be printed on it) and then search online using the part number ''only'' in the search box of your browser to get results for suppliers of the part.
