Paso 1 — Needle Position
If the position of the needle is not correct, some errors will occur, which can make the user very annoyed.
Paso 2 — Remove left cover
To access the adjustment plate and screw, you need to remove the left cover.
Paso 3 — Method 1: Adjusting the needle carrier
The needle carrier is attached at the top with a 2 mm Allen screw. Loosen the screw to slightly move the cantilever. It's pretty tight the first time, be careful.
Paso 4 — Method 2: Adjusting the Needle Carrier
The cantilever slides past a plate. You can adjust the position of the needle by slightly bending this plate.
Paso 5
The adjustment plate is fixed with a Phillips screw. Gently twist it out.
Paso 6
Push the needle carrier a little forward from behind to relieve the adjustment plate, then simply lift it up using a pair of tweezers.
Paso 7
This is what the setting plate looks like. It regulates the position in sewing direction.
Paso 8 — Adjust lateral shift
The lateral position of the needle is easier to adjust. A black banjo bolt is used for this purpose. This position is set at the factory and does not normally need to be readjusted.
Paso 9 — Tip
One last hint: sewing starts better if you lower the needle using the handwheel into the throat plate after each switch-on; the motors adjust themselves with a brief click. Lift the needle up again and you're good to go - until the next time you turn it off.
