Separate the Rear Glass Adhesive

  • Power your phone off before you begin.

  • If possible, drain the battery before disassembly. When the battery is charged, there's an increased risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is overheated or damaged during repairs.

  • If the rear glass is cracked, completely cover it with packing tape to contain the glass shards and avoid injury.

  • Prepare an iOpener and heat the back of the phone along its bottom edge for about two minutes, or until it's slightly too hot to touch. This will help soften the adhesive securing the rear glass.

  • You may need to reheat and reapply the iOpener several times to get the phone warm enough. Follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate may also be used, but be careful not to overheat the phone—the display and internal battery are both susceptible to heat damage.

Separa el adhesivo de cristal trasero

Apaga tu teléfono antes de comenzar.

Si es posible, drena la batería antes de desmontar. Cuando la batería está cargada, aumenta el riesgo de un evento térmico peligroso si la batería se sobrecalienta o se daña durante la reparación.

Prepara un iOpener y calienta la parte trasea del teléfono a lo largo del borde inferior durante dos minutos o hasta que esté ligeramente muy caliente al tacto. Esto ayudará a suavizar el adhesivo que sujeta el cristal trasero.

Puede que tengas que recalentar y volver a aplicar el iOpener varias veces para que el teléfono se caliente lo suficiente. Sigue las instrucciones del iOpener para evitar el sobrecalentamiento.

También se puede utilizar un secador de pelo, una pistola de calor o una placa calefactora, pero ten cuidado de no sobrecalentar el teléfono: tanto la pantalla como la batería interna son susceptibles de sufrir daños por el calor.
