Where can you get a replacement digitizer screen? My grandson dropped his a couple days ago & I don't want to spend another $200 for a new one.
I am seeing replacement screen/digitizers for these now on ebay. With a little searching around I found one direct ship from Hong Kong for $70US. Good Luck!

I need the the cable that goes to the sceen. As i changed out my battery, when i tried to carefully remove the zif connector, it broke off. Woe is me.

This is true. Going forward, I’d recommend getting the kid’s edition no matter what. It is a great insurance policy. Amazon honors their warranty nicely…

That is only the glass, and not the LCD… This guide doesn’t include the steps to separate the glass from the LCD assembly…
This did not work for me. I wonder if it changed in newer models ? I pried it open on the side, then the whole back cover came off. It was impossible to separate the glass from the rest without breaking it all. Wonder what I did wrong.
Extremely simple and very well documented. Thank you for making the replacement less difficult. Just one question, how do you get the plastic tool to fit in between the screen and the frame? Mine wore out trying to scrape and push its way in there
Too bad the cost of the part is so high.

What if there are no pull tabs? It is stuck down on both sides in a metal tray. This is an hd 10 plus 11th generation.
