What worked perfectly for me was something that came to mind when I realized I had no superglue, no straw, no drill bit, and so on.
What I used was a very thin NAIL that is used in conjunction with a hammer. It’s about 1 inch in length and is very thin.
I sat the laptop on its side with the aux plug facing up, centered the nail, GENTLY tapped it with the hammer, and pulled it right out with ease, and without damage.
I believe this is the most effective way to remove the broken aux tip. Literally took me less than a minute once the idea came to mind.
The tip of the nail is thin and sharp, therefore penetrating the broken aux tip with ease and not a lot of force. Tapping it GENTLY with the hammer enough to get the tip of the nail inserted to the broken aux tip is all that’s needed. When the nail sits up on its own, pull it up gently and bam. Done.

The good news is that the problem is now fixed.
We tried two different epoxy glues, and superglue with combinations of metal rods, the old plug, and earbud sticks, all to no avail.
Finally we used a guided 1.5mm drill bit. We made the guide using a metal pen refill and an inner sleeve made of soft aluminum - we got this from the outside of a tealight candle. The sleeve not only guided the drill bit but it was cut to length so we could only drill 2-3mm deep. The tip simply jammed onto the drill bit and came out with it.
Note we covered all the other sockets while we drilled and sucked out all metal shavings with a vacuum cleaner.

I have a similar problem with my computer, tried superglue several times to no avail. I don't have a guided drill, but that's a good thing to keep in mind. Please put your comment as an answer and accept it, so that the question will show up as accepted... thanks!
