This GE Whole Home Filter (FXWTC) is a genuine filter designed for use with whole home filtration systems to provide filtered water at every tap within your household. Manufactured by GE, this carbon filter is compatible with models like the GE GXWH04F Household PreFiltration System and fits most major brands that are compatible with 10-Inch by 2-1/2-Inch sumps. Also known as a sediment filter, it is crafted to significantly reduce sediments such as sand, soil, silt, sediment, rust, and chlorine from your water supply, ensuring cleaner and clearer water for all uses. The filter boasts an operating pressure of 125 PSI, a temperature range of 40-100 degrees Fahrenheit, a flow rate of 4.0 GPMs, and a micron rating of five. This effectively extends the life of your household equipment by minimizing sediment accumulation. For optimal performance, it is advised to replace the filter every three months or after 700 gallons of water usage, depending on your water conditions. Symptoms that may indicate the need for a replacement include noticeable decrease in water flow rate, visible sediments in the water, or an unusual taste or odor to the water.
