Track pad is not responding to touch input.

Sometimes, refreshing the track pad can fix unresponsiveness. Press the keys Fn and F5 once to disable the track pad. Press the two keys once more to re-enable the track pad. Cleaning and dusting the area around the track pad can also be beneficial.

Outdated drivers can cause the track pad to function incorrectly. If you think your devices may be outdated, you can go to the Samsung website here and download the latest drivers.

Often, Windows updates can cause issues. To restore your PC to an earlier point, type “Control Panel” the search box and open the program. Then, in the search box for Control Panel, type and enter Recovery. Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.

In the even that none of the above solutions work, you may need to replace the track pad using this guide.

The laptop overheats when plugged in to charge.

Check to see if your device’s charging port is obstructed or needs to be cleaned. Any obstruction can cause this area to overheat. Use a compressed air duster to clean the charging port and the fans on the bottom of the device.

Your adapter may need to be replaced, especially if it’s older. This can often cause the laptop to overheat.

The wireless connection is not maintained.

Your wireless network strength may be weak. Go to the “Control Panel” and click “Network and Internet.” Check the strength of your current network. You may need to refresh your router after long periods of use. Refresh your router according to the instructions on its user manual.

Over long periods of time, you may need to refresh your network. Press the keys Fn and F12 to turn off the network. Press the two keys once more to turn the network back on.

Sometimes, dropping and re-adding your network may fix this problem. Go to the “Control Panel” and click “Network and Internet.” Then click “Network and Sharing Center” and then “Manage Wireless Networks.” Right click on your current network and select “Remove Network” from the drop down menu. Close the window afterwards and restart your device. Once your device has restarted and is back on, go to the “Control Panel” and click “Network and Internet.” Then under the “Network and Sharing Center,” click “Connect to a Network.” A new window with available WiFi networks will pop up on the bottom right hand corner. Select your preferred WiFi network and type in your password if requested.

If your drivers are outdated, it may be time to update them by visiting the Samsung website here. Download the newest driver updates labeled as “Wireless LAN,INTEL” under the “Downloads” section.

If your wireless connection is still dropping, the device’s internal WiFi card may be faulty. Follow this guide to replace it.

Pressing keys does nothing (keyboard is not working).

Your settings may be mis-configured. Press the WINKEY, type Troubleshoot Settings, and press enter. Then, select the Keyboard option at the bottom. Finally, click on the Run the troubleshooter button.

Outdated drivers can often cause problems. Press the WINKEY + X, and click on Device Manager. Then click on Keyboards, and you will find the keyboard driver(s). Right-click on it and select Uninstall. Restart your computer; the driver(s) should install automatically. Finally, open Device Manager, right-click on Keyboards and select Scan for hardware changes.

The entire keyboard and/or keys may need to be replaced. Follow this guide to replace keys.

The computer crashes and shows a blue screen.

Third-party, untrusted software can crash your PC. Press the WINKEY, type Apps & features, and press enter. Then, select Sort by name and change it to install date. Click on the software you want to remove, and then select Uninstall. Finally, restart your device.

Updates often cause crashes. To restore your device to a previous version, restart the computer and tap the F8 key in 1-second intervals. On the Startup Settings, select 5 for Safe Mode with Networking. Once your device is in safe mode: Press the WINKEY, type Control Panel, and press enter. Select Uninstall a program under Programs. On the left side, select View installed updates. Right-click the update you want to uninstall, and then select Yes to confirm. Select Restart Now to completely uninstall the update.
