Keyboard freezes
If the keyboard will become completely unresponsive, none of the individual keys work, and none of the key combinations work (for example CTRL - ALT - DELETE)
Option 1:
First try uninstalling the keyboard driver. To do this: first go to control panel and hit the start key. In the search toolbar search “control panel”. Under “Programs” select “control panel”. In “control panel” select “device manager” under the “devices and printers” page. In device manager hit the “keyboards” tab to view keyboards, and double click on the standard keyboard. Go to the “Driver” tab and select “Uninstall” and follow the given instructions to uninstall the driver. Restart the computer (yes without reinstalling the driver) and when the computer restarts it should reinstall the needed driver itself. Test the keyboard to verify that this option worked.
Option 2:
Find a functional external keyboard (Like one used with a desktop computer. Avoid use a gaming keyboard as this will install its own set of programs and drivers). Plug external keyboard into USB port. If prompted decline any options to install divers. Test the function of the external keyboard. If the external keyboard works without any hitches, then the issue is with the physical keyboard. If this option does not work see keyboard replacement guide.

Battery does not charge
Connect the AC Adapter to your notebook and to a wall outlet. Make sure the wall outlet you are using is working properly by testing it with another electronic device, such as a desk lamp. Check the LED light on the notebook. If the battery is charging, the LED on the notebook will light up red. If the LED does not light up red, the battery is not charging (try to test the notebook with another compatible AC adapter). Service is required. Try to turn on the notebook. If the notebook turns on, the problem may be caused by the battery. If the notebook does not turn on, there may be a problem with the Battery or AC adapter.
