Samsung NP350E5C-A02US Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting page will help diagnose issues with the Samsung NP350E5C-A02US
- Battery will not hold a charge
- DVD drive does not read discs
- Memory error message on boot up
- Hard drive almost at full capacity
- Computer Will Not Connect To Network
The laptop shows no sign of turning on or the battery doesn’t last as long as it used to.
Make sure the power adapter is plugged into a power outlet, and the adapter is plugged into your computer.
Visually check to ensure power light on the power adapter is lit.
If the light is not on, the adapter is faulty. You will need to purchase a replacement power
If the light on power adapter is on, make sure the power adapter is connected to the laptop.
If the laptop powers on when the charger is plugged in but doesn't stay charged for long with out it, the battery is bad. See guide for Battery Replacement.
I want to use a DVD in my laptop, but the DVD drive does not read it.
Remove any disc from the drive.
Right click the bottom left hand corner of the screen and select Device Manager.
Then double-click DVD/CD-ROM drives to expand the category.
Next, right-click the drive name, and then select Uninstall device or Uninstall.
Close all open programs, and then restart the computer. Windows automatically configures the device.
Then, test a disc in the drive. If it doesn’t read disk go to the next step.

You get a PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA message on start up.
HOLD down the power button on your computer and wait for the screen with the manufacturer’s logo to finish.
When the logo screen disappears begin to repeatedly tap (not press and keep pressed) the F8 key on your keyboard. Important note: for some laptops you may need to also simultaneously hold down the Fn key as well.
If the Windows “loading” screen shows up, then you did not tap the F8 key early enough, go back to step 1.
You should be seeing a screen titled “Advanced Boot Options.” It may appear slightly different for older or newer versions of Windows.
Use the keyboard to locate the option titled “Last Known Good Configuration (advanced)” and press the Enter key.
Check to see if the computer is fixed. Completely power down and restart your PC.
Make sure computer is off.
Then remove all but one stick. (See our guide on Memory stick replacement)
Restart computer to check stick
If problem still persists, that stick is bad.
Repeat for all memory sticks.
Replace any bad memory sticks.

I power on my laptop and when Windows loads it gives me a “low disk space” warning .
Right click bottom left corner of screen.
Then select Control Panel, then Administration Tools.
Double click on Disk Cleanup
In the Disk Cleanup dialog box in the Description section, select Clean up system files.
From the Disk Cleanup dialog box, click on the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for the files to delete, and then select OK.
Hit "yes" when asked if you want to permanently delete these files.
Then check your drive by right clicking bottom left hand corner and selecting "File Explorer". If you still need more space go to the following next tip.
To modify or remove a program off your computer:
Right click on the bottom left hand corner of the screen, then click on Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Programs and Features.
Then select a program you want to delete, and then right-click and press Uninstall.
Swipe upward on the right side on the screen, then select Settings, then select the option to Change PC settings.
Next, select Search and apps, then select App sizes to view storage space for each app.
Once you find the app you want to uninstall, Right click on the app, then select Uninstall.
Then check disk space as before. If you still need more space go to the following tip.
Right click the bottom left hand corner and select "File Explorer."
From the tabs on top Select the View option, go to “Sort by”, and then select Size. Largest folders/files display at the top of the list.
When you find a file that you want to delete, tap or right click on the app or program you want to delete and click delete. If you still need more space continue to the following tip.
Move files onto external storage:
Secure Digital (SD) cards.
USB and external drives.
DVDs and CDs.
Cloud storage. (Windows comes with the OneDrive app, which helps you free up space on your hard drive and move files to the cloud.) If you still need more space continue to the next tip.

Laptop will not connect to internet.
Right click on the lower left hand corner, click on "Control Panel", then "Network and Internet", and "Network and Sharing Center". Now, pick "Change adapter settings" on the Task pane. Right-click on "Wireless Network Connection" and select Enable. Check to see if you can connect. If still unable proceed to next step.
Right click the bottom left hand corner of the screen, select "Device Manager".
Find the "Network adapters"and click on it.
A drop down option should give you the Wifi Card in the computer.
Proceed by double clicking on the drop down option to open up the device properties, and four tabs will appear at the top of the page.
The first tab will show a device status text. If the box shows that the Device is working properly, try to power the computer off and back on.
If it says the device isn’t working properly, go to the second tab titled "Driver" then look for a button titled "Update Driver...". Click on that box to forcefully update the driver.
If that doesn’t work, click the uninstall button and then restart computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers. Test to see if you can connect. If not proceed to next step.
