Speaker Won't Turn On
The soundbar does not create audio or playback once plugged into a device.
Debris In USB Port
Ensure that both the USB plug and port are clean of dust and small debris. Debris may interfere with the port's ability to transmit power or data.
Output Device Is Not On
Check that the output device is also plugged in and receiving power. The Dell AC511 is powered by its USB connection to the output device, so if the device is not receiving power, the speaker cannot either.
Faulty Cable
Try using a different USB cable. The one you are using may not be functioning properly.
Outer Shell Is Damaged
The soundbar's outer shell has cracks or is missing portions.
Speaker Was Dropped or Hit
The soundbar is not designed to be dropped from large heights or hit by heavy objects. Refrain from these actions, as they may damage the outer shell of the speaker. If damage does occur, such as cracking or parts being missing, cover the afflicted area until the relevant parts can be replaced. Try to avoid further damage in the same area.
USB Cable Disconnects Itself
The soundbar does not stay connected when plugging in the USB cable.
Debris In USB Port
Ensure that both the port and plug are clean of debris and small items. Obstructions may prevent the USB cable from plugging in securely.
Deformed USB Plug
Check that the USB plug is not physically deformed or damaged. If the USB plug is unable to be reformed with tools or is missing completely, you may need to order a replacement part and install it.
Distorted Audio
The soundbar creates static or scratchy audio playback once connected.
Debris In USB Port

Faulty Cable
Try using a different USB cable. The one you are using may be broken or not functioning properly.
Check that the device is fully connected properly.
Speaker Not Recognized
Verify that the speaker is being properly detected by the system. If it isn't, it may be receiving garbage noise or improperly encoded audio.
Physical Damage
Check for damage on the front panel of speaker which could lead to a buzzing noise. You may need to replace the front panel if it is cracked or broken.
No Audio
The soundbar does not produce audio when connected.
Speaker Not Recognized
Make sure that the device is properly connected to the system. Even if it's plugged in, your device may not be outputting audio to it.
Faulty Wiring
Ensure that there is little to no damage to the external wiring. Damaged cables may not transmit data properly.
Low Volume
Try turning the external volume knob. It may be set to low or zero volume.
Broken Volume Knob
It may be the case that the internals of the volume knob are set to a low volume, and the external knob itself is disconnected and unable to adjust it. If the knob does not properly adjust volume, you should replace it.
