Responder a:iPhone charges for minute, says "this accessory may not be supported"I had this with "non Apple" chargers and to a lesser degree "non Apple" docking cables. I was suprised to find that of the 3 chargers and cables that I had gotten with some of my iphones on ebay, NONE of them were genuine Apple equipment. Not only that, but when I did finally get the genuine equipment, several of the phones that I had written off as bad due to being "stuck" in recovery mode due to errors, restored perfectly when I used the genuine cable. Google how to tell the difference, its an eye opener.

Responder a:Repair Kit Screw Drivers Don't fit Screws inside my verizon iPhoneI bought the "Pro tool kit" that this site offers. I also found that although the kit came with 45 tips, i only use 3 on my iphone 4. They are the Pentalobe #2(smallest in the kit), the Philips PH000(also the smallest), and the Straight 2.5(5th smallest). Here is my take on the quality of these items. Pentalobe:#2 Seemed to small the first time I used it, but the next size(5) was decidedly to large to even begin to fit. So I had to use the #2. Soon the tip rounded off, due to the sloppy fit. However since the bit is tapered I decided to dress the tip with a file, and was able to make this one fit nearly perfectly. Since the material seemed a bit soft(it will easily round off again so be gentle, making sure the back is seated rather than trying to use the screws to pull the back cover into position when buttoning it up) I left it a little small so I could redress it again if necessary. Philips:#000 For me this one is the best. It fits every screw I have attempted to remove, and I have removed them all. It is j...

Responder a:All the time the wifi connect and not connect in my homeIf this issue is only with wifi at your home but wifi works ok everywhere else, then like previous person suggested, you need to troubleshoot your home wireless modem. EDIT/Update: Is this your own phone that used to work, but then suddenly quit working? Or did you buy this phone used and it has never connected to wifi? Are you comfortable disassembling this phone? Do you have something like a jewlers loupe, or other STRONG magnification, so you can see the infinitesimally small circutry components? Was there water damage?

Responder a:Why is my daughters iPhone 4S going to 50% in 3 hours.Find out if she plays candy crush. this game, while fun, is a tremendous draw on a cell phone battery. I would consider the battery performance you describe better than normal if she is.

Responder a:iPhone 4S display black and constant vibrating (sounds) when charging?I have run into a similar issue on iphone 4 models. In my case I found that if any connector gets disconnected(specifically the digitizer in my case) simply reconnecting it was not sufficient, but disconnecting then reconnecting the battery was also necessary, I am not sure why except that I know if the screen plug comes out(like happens so easily when testing with a screen that not uninstalled) it never comes back on until the phone reboots, and I suspect thats nearly impossible except by unplugging the battery, once the screen goes blank. I suspect there is some kind of initialization process that must be repeated before a screen will come back of after being disconnected.

Responder a:My iPhone 4s dropped in water...Logic Board issue?Replacing the logic board is tantamount to getting a new phone. Its all on that board. If you do replace that board and you have to pay for it, be sure to retain the old board. Because if you still have issues your board is likely good, and they are worth almost as much on ebay as a whole phone. If you take the board out yourself, also remove the shields that clipon and the rubber under them and clean the components under here also. When water gets on these its not the water that does the damage, its the foreign contaminents that remain after the drying method has been employed. Remember RICE DOES NOT REMOVE TOILET PAPER!! After you clean this out (Gently with a toothbrush and alcohol and gently blow out with compressed air) repace the covers and rubber. I have found that most all motherboards come back to life after a proper cleaning, but since most of the components are nearly microscopic they are indeed highly seceptable to corrosive damage, because there isnt much tothem they simply disolve leaving behind ...

Responder a:Glue for Battery ReplacementI agree, what is there is plenty sticky enough. Don't try this at home, but I generally remove all the adhesive when I fix these, simply because I put the batteries in and out alot while troubleshooting/rebuilding them, and the adhesive is a pain. When you place your battery on the adhesive be sure it is snug against the mobo so as not to allow the battery to interfere with the hooking action of the back cover when you get ready to close it up. I generally plug the batteryin first then accordian the battery lead then finally put the battery into final position, last apply the hold down screw.

Responder a:No one can here meThe mic is on the assembly that holds the socket where the charger plugs in. Often a simple cleaning is all that is needed. remove the back>battery>speaker, then you will need to remove the 2 screws that hold down the socket, and lift the clamping lever that connects the home button ribbon. there is a rubber wedge that holds down the corner of the socket at the motherboard. Remove the wedge then carefully lift the lead that connects to the motherboard, while sliding a thin tool under the socket circuit board to assist in releasing the adhesive. there is adhesive in 3 places, 1)under the corner where the cable that goes to the mobo turns up then out, 2)directly under the center of the socket(slide a thin tool under here to release the adhesive here too), and 3)at the opposite side under the ribbon that attaches the mic, slide tool under the ribbon while lifting socket, the mic plugs into a little tube in the chassis, help it slide out as you lift the socket out. now with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol(and yo...

Responder a:I forgot my passcode what do I do?Do you know the Apple ID for this phone? If not you may have a problem. It is a simple thing to get past the Passcode lock with a DFU restore, but an icloud lock is currently un breakable. The only way to restore an icloud locked iphone is to enter the Apple ID and password that was used to activate the phone. This feature is turned on by default with IOS 7.0.4. to initiate a DFU restore: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/?enid=10... Step One Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac or PC. Step Two Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. Step Three After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until your iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. The iPhone screen will remain black. If the Apple logo appears your timing was off. A standard recovery mode, and a DFU recovery mode appear the same on your computer, but the apple logo appears in standard and the screen is dark in DFU. After ...
