Hi Eli, First of all, there are multiple things with the home button error. After reviewing your comments. I am assuming you never worked on screen and near the home button flex. Which means home button flex which is on screen might be good. There are 3 flex which is attached to the motherboard from screen. The two flex which are together check for any damage on a shorter flex. That would be possible damage. Disconnect the battery and reconnect and making sure every connection is seated right. Note: Home button can't be replaced as its pair with your mother board. Only apple can fix it but relax it doesn't seem to be in your case. Your replacement battery circuit would be the problem. I assuming your phone is not expose to water or have any water damage on the board. Replace with a new battery to make sure and you use genuine samsung battery to avoid blowing it up.

Hi There, Its backlight problem on your LCD. 1- open it up again and reconnect the LCD connector again to make sure it seated properly. Any of the connection might not be connected properly. 2- make sure to check backlight flex on lcd screen is inserted properly. If you are not a repair technician don’t attempt it. You will mess up something esle. Which could land up in more expense.

Hi Steve, While Replacing the charging port Primary Microsphone has been messed up . Replaceing the mic should solve the issue.

Hi Thomas, My First Question - How did you repair the Charging port on the board. Are you a technician. If yes Then Probably You need to check the Voltage with the help of Multi meter to see the power in the board. Then its a board level issue. If you are not a techinican, I recommend Checking all the flex cable again and the Battery Connector to see whether they are inserted properly and Also the Charging port as well. Everything looks fine then probably you might have to see a Repair techinican who can fix it. Regards, Sahil

You probably have used wrong tool or must have not disconnected battery while installing the screen. I would suggest find somebody who can diagnosis and work on logic board.

Take out any sim card in it. Connect it thru Itunes or 3 u tool and just flash it.

Hi There, As you stated Loudspeaker and other stuff works. I m assuming the noise cancelation mic which is probably messed up or the Siri Mic on the front camera flex is not that good. Trying changing them. Hopefully it should work. Also, Check if your phone is on IOS 11.0 or 11.2. If yes please upgrade Please update to IOS 11.3.

Hi There, Self Repair is a very good form to save money and Learn the skills. From what I have read so far, you might have Disconnected or reconnected cable while the battery was still connected to the logic board. LCD Flex Cable must have been torn or Broken from inside thats why nothing is coming up. Also you might have use a metal tool to plug out the cable while battery was still connected. which resulted in a shot to the logic board. Your Comment: 3) I disassembly the glass of the screen with hot air and repaired it. Glass comes with OCA glue which needs to under go pressureized Vaccum and Laminating Machine to get good Finishing. Solution: Try Installing a New LCD with Digitizer and See if your phone draws power and you are able to see anything on it. if not recommend to visit repair store.
