Hey y’all! My name is Skyler Martin. I am a senior at Northern Arizona University
I could fill a webpage with the changes and experiences I encountered in my academic career at Northern Arizona University, but one constant factor that endures through these past four years has been my passion to explore all that interests me. I entered University as a History major and am leaving as an English major with a minor in Spanish, but my itch for learning and apply my knowledge to improve the world positively has persisted through it all.
My immediate aspirations are to pursue a Master Degree in my hometown of Tucson, Arizona. While doing that I want to take advantage of the skills I learned as an NAU Student Ambassador to work in Enrollment Management at the University of Arizona, using my technical English and Spanish writing skills to reach a diverse array of students.
One of my favorite projects is an infographic I created for an English Capstone course. Its purpose was to educate fellow students and Flagstaffian community members on how fiction can use environmental imagery, tropes, and narrative to educate on the existence of climate change and what we can do to positively affect climate change.
I appealed to both my contemporary generation and elders by referencing fiction in the infographic that both demographics would be familiar with.
I have gained some DIY repair experiences during my time living in Flagstaff, from taking apart and putting back together a door handle to fixing a couch my roommate built incorrectly. I hope my DIY experiences aid in the writing of my guides so that people of all technical repair prowess can find my guides helpful.

I enjoy reading, writing, and playing video games in my free time. Above all else though, playing music is the one hobby I have that brings me not just relaxation but joy as well.
Thank you all for your time in reading this!
