I can only help with US-based suppliers unfortunately, but: I have used RepairPartsPlus for years with nothing short of satisfaction. Their customer support is great and the screens are beyond high quality. That being said, it is not the cheapest supplier out there. I am enrolled in the wholesale program from FixEz.com, and boy do they beat the competition (even better than my corporate pricing from Batteries Plus Bulbs where I work). They offer a ton of different qualities, and that being said you get what you pay for. I would definitely not go for the lowest quality one, but I would try ordering a mid-range one and seeing how you like it. I hope this helps! Justin
Did you ever get this fixed? I had a similar issue at my shop in which digis were going dead for seemingly no reason, it turned out that the frame of the iPad was bent just enough to hurt the digi after a couple weeks of use. Left us with a reasonably unhappy customer, but after correcting the bend we haven’t seen them since. Definitely check the frame for bends and try correcting that.
As someone commented, try reconnecting the screen to ensure that they were properly connected. If this still doesn’t work, it is likely that you damaged the digitizer or digitizer cable when performing this repair. A new screen would correct this. FYI- this is the connector for the digitizer cable: Good luck!
To my knowledge, Apple Pay works solely through the NFC antenna, so that is what I would suspect is causing this issue. Perhaps during the repair the antenna was only slightly damaged, allowing for wireless charging to still work but breaking the NFC capabilities? That would be my only guess. If you want to replace it its reasonable cheap online. Otherwise I do know that Apple stores card data in the Secure Element on the phone, and if that is causing the issue that’s a microsolder repair which is way beyond my expertise, but personally I would take a shot at replacing the antenna. Good luck!
When you say hard reset you mean just to restart the phone right? Your best bet is to do a battery pull (disconnect and reconnect the battery) to work around not having the volume button functionality. If you don’t have the tools/expertise to do it yourself, I would take it to a repair shop. I would never charge a customer to do a battery pull at my store. I hope this helps, good luck! Justin
Did it take a big drop? I’ve had people come to my shop and I was able to fix it by tightening the screws on their antennae. Not sure if itll be the same on the 11 Pro Max but it’s worth a shot.
At first I suspected it could be a bulging battery, but I am not sure since the battery is located on the left side of the phone, and the right side has the motherboard and other components. (See attached picture.) If could be as simple as a screw on the back of the LCD panel sticking out, making it harder for the screen to permanently seat in the phone. I would bring it to a local repair shop if this is something you don’t want to investigate yourself. A technician would be able to tell you if it is something like I just described or if it is indeed the battery swelling. At my shop, a diagnosis like this is something I would never charge a customer. Depending on the shop, this is something they should be able to figure out for you for free. Good luck!
If the glass feels smooth on the surface, it would be beneath the glass. I’ve worked on plenty of Macbooks, but just replaced the entire assembly, not just the LCD. I believe there is a way to replace just the LCD, meaning the top case may be removable, possibly leaving an opportunity to clean the inside of the glass (if there even is glass, I am not sure if the LCD is the top layer or if there is something between the surface and the LCD.) However, I would imagine there is a lot of room for error in doing this, and honestly you could do so much more bad than good in attempting this repair, if it is even possible. I would just leave it alone unless you want to buy a new display. Good luck!
I just looked to see if I could try and source a screen for you. In doing so, I found some listings for the watch itself: https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-screen-dz09.html The whole watch costs around $11. Honestly, the cost of finding a source for a screen, paying for it, and repairing it is in no way worth less than $11, especially when you consider shipping. I would just buy a new watch.
