If your have a passkey system in that car - keys with the pellet embedded in it... If the key pellet is the wrong value, the Theft Deterrent Module (TDM) will not send signals to allow the starter to engage or fuel to the engine. The TDM will shut down for ~3 minutes and the SECURITY lamp will remain lit with the key ON or OFF. When the ~3 minute timer has expired and the key is cycled from OFF to ON, the TDM timer is reset. If you try a key with the correct pellet value, the engine should start and run. SECURITY lamp should be off. If there is still a problem with reading the key, the TDM will light the SECURITY lamp and start the ~3 minute timer again. If the sensing contact circuit is open or shorted (cannot read the key) or a defective key is used at the time the ignition is turned ON, the SECURITY lamp will flash at a rate of once per second and the engine will not start. No three minute lockout will begin. The SECURITY lamp will also flash at once per second if a new, unprogrammed TDM is installed...
Leer másHas your light gone out? If not, most auto parts stores will check it for free, tell you what the problem is and let you know what you need to fix it.
Leer másDoes the high beam indicator light up? If so, I'd check those bulbs and replace if necessary. The other issue could be the relay or fuse. Your manual will tell you where to find the fuse and relay box and show you which ones would be for the high beams.

Leer másGet yourself a can of compressed air and try blowing out the power supply and all of your heat sinks. You might also want to check the temperature of the motherboard components - CPU, GPU, Memory... Something else is getting hot, that's why the fan is speeding up.
Leer másIf it runs great for about 20 minutes and then stops, does it sound like it's starving for gas or surging? Do you hear any misfires/backfires? My first guess will be something having to do with the magneto getting spark to the plug. Pop the cover off the top of the engine and check for any wiring that is rusted, broken or in bad shape. I'd start with that. You may also have a line that is partially clogged up going to the carburetor. As the engine runs, the level of gasoline in the carburetor bowl could be dropping and causing the engine to stall out. When it stops it could fill up just enough to restart and run for a few seconds. You could try using any fuel system cleaners. I personally use SeaFoam in all of my outdoor power equipment. It helps to stabilize the fuel, especially now that everything has ethanol in it. In case you didn't know, ethanol is hydroscopic meaning that it absorbs water. Don't buy more gas than you can use within 30 days. After that, put it in your car to get rid of it and buy...
Leer másA friend of mine had a similar problem with her laptop. It's the power supply on the video card that powers the inverter. The one in her laptop was replaceable, but I'm not sure about your model. Also, they are not inexpensive. A lot of those older XPS laptops tend to have issues with heating as well. You do have a few options though. First, external monitor for everything. Not great, but if you have one, you can at least use the laptop. Second, call Dell and get a price on a new video card. The cases are usually pretty trivial to open to replace it, if that laptop does indeed have a replaceable card. You might even try getting in touch with nvidia to see if they can do anything for you. The last options would be looking for something on eBay, Craigslist or local PC shops. This is a known issue and there was a lawsuit filed against nvidia about two years ago. I'm not sure of the outcome. From the Wikipedia article: "Some chips of the GeForce 8 series (concretely those from the G84 and G86 series) may...
