My camera screen was not working either, but I fixed it (thanks to another comment). Battery was charged. I even put in a different battery and still got the blank screen. Red light was on, in addition to the battery indicator blue light. When I ejected the memory card, the screen came alive telling me I had no memory card. As soon as I inserted the card, screen went blank.
I plugged the SD card into my computer and reformatted it. Then I inserted that same card into the camera and all is working perfectly. Yay! Thank you comments!
