Do a Clean boot, and if the system boots faster than usual then there is a start up program causing the system to hang To perform a clean boot: 1.Press the Windows + R key and enter msconfig in the search box and hit enter 2. System configuration window will open, now go over to the services tab and check the box at the bottom that says "hide all Microsoft services" then click disable all, now click apply 3. Go over to the start up tab and click disable all and click apply followed by OK (if you are on windows 10 you will have to go to task manager to view the start up items but you do the same and disable all) 4. you will now be asked to restart, once you restart if the system boots faster then you will need to either disable all your startup programs or go in and enable them 1 by 1 to find the culprit. 5. Once you're finished troubleshooting go over to the services tab and click enable all and hit apply and restart. Can you also share your model number or system specs
Leer másThings to try: Open device manager and check if your WiFi adapter shows up, if it does show up but you don't have an option to connect try doing a system restore to a date you know it was working. Sometimes the driver can malfunction and cause the adapter to stop working if this happens the device will have a yellow triangle next to it in device manager or it will be under unknown devices, in this case just download the driver and reinstall. If it doesn't show up at all in device manager, then you will need to open the laptop and check the connectors for the WiFi card, if you're not familiar opening a computer you should take it to a repair shop. Worst case scenario you will have to replace the WiFi card or you can buy a USB WiFi dongle.

Leer másHere are a few thing i would recommend you try: 1. test another laptop on the connection (if the other laptop connects successfully try the other suggestion) 2. connect to the wireless network and run the windows troubleshooter 3. disable and re-enable the wireless adapter 4. manually update driver for wireless adapter(since its a dell laptop, you can go on the dell support website and download the device identifier to get drivers for your laptop) if there aren't any wifi drivers on dells' website go to device manager and grab the hardware id and do a google search to get the drivers If you need help on getting any of these done let me know
