I just replaced the screen on my iphone 6 with the ifixit part and repair kit. Moved the home button from the old screen...

Did turn out to be a bad cable in the replacement display. iFixit shipped a new part right away without any troubles -- put new one in and all is good. Thanks iFixit!

Just a quick thought -- make sure the washer is level.
