1. Go to Google Chrome. 2. Click on the menu button near the corner (3 lines) 3. Click 'Settings'. 4. Scroll down to the bottom and click 'Show advanced settings' then scroll to the bottom again.. 5. Try charging it, maybe it ran out of battery life. Or maybe the power button broke from water damage. That happened to my older chromebook. If water damage is the case, try closing the chromebook than opening it again. Good luck!

The article was for repairing water damage and that area was for getting sticky residue off the computer if someone spilled sugary drinks, but it should help with cleaning stickyness. Just please do me a favor and make sure the keys are removable and can be put back easily on before you rip apart your keyboard. Good luck with that!

I have had a SIMILAR problem with my windows 8.1 desktop a while ago. I repeat, SIMILAR. Not exactly the same, but it might help. It was a while ago, so I may not remember some of it, sorry if it's not helpful. I was playing a game and the game crashed, and I remember my computer getting stuck on a black screen. What I remember doing was turning the computer off than on again and giving it some time. Again, I do not quite remember what happened, but I'm hoping this might help.
