I have the Q524U Flip Laptop. To open mine you have to unscrew the hinges and then with and shim, razor blade knife, or anything flat; pry the lid and screen apart. You'll have to use a little force but dont worry since the lid is aluminum. After you get those apart you should be looking at the internal of the LCD. Hope this helps
You might also check the wall plug or surge protector to see if it supplies the demand volts. I'm not a professional but nothing hurts my audio receiver would cut on and cut off also but they said it was in protector mode with happens if volume gets too load without proper speakers or fuse popped
