Mi Problema

The problem arose from my use of the headphones while carrying my phone in my back pocket and sitting down. In a short manner of time I lost audio in the left ear. Lost audio from the 3GS earphone 3.5mm jack, and it won't cut off the speaker when earphone inserted.

Mi Solucion

Part arrived half-way around the world in 2 days. Dismantling the phone required some delicate handywork.

Process took 2 hours, mostly disassembly and fitting the new part.

Would not power on or off using power button

Mi Solucion

I'm Japanese and live in Japan. So I have imported the necessary parts first. After that, Using this site, and one by one to repair. It's a little difficult to repair for me, but finally I was success to fix.

old jack - no more connection

very good. needed some handlenses to see what I was doing. On-off switch is a bit of a puzzle (orientation of the 'handle') and orientation of the mute switch was trial and error. Also not clear what protective film could be removed and what had to stay.

Mi Consejo

Just your webs . . .

Mi Problema

My on/off button was not working and in order to replace this part, you must replace the ribbon cable to the on/off, headphone, mute and volume buttons.

Mi Solucion

The install was much more difficult then I anticipated mostly do to a lack of complete instruction. When you read the guide it tells you how to remo . . .
