Mi Problema

This is actually a computer I sold to a friend. 1 week after the fact he called and said it wouldn't boot, there was a folder with a question mark icon. He took it to another friend who replaced the hard drive, for $100. That hard drive "failed" also. This all sounded fishy to me.

I got the comput . . .

Mi Problema

After removing the hard drive and seeing that I could access the data easily and boot from it, i knew it was either the sata cable and/or the logic board. Sata cable was least invasive and least expensive so I went for that first.

Mi Solucion

All worked well. Computer is up and running

Mi Consejo

Take your time and follo . . .

Mi Problema

The previous repair cable failed within 8 months so I bought this one and we will see if the quality of it is better. So far it seems better built but will need to stand the test of time. I feel confident.

Mi Solucion

Easy. Very straight forward especially after having done this once before.

Mi Consejo

Do your research befo . . .

Mi Problema

The Apple people said I could handle it and it would be cheaper if I did it myself.

Mi Solucion

It went well. The computer works. Now I just have to figure out software updating then it will be like new.

Mi Consejo

I replaced a cable bracket in my macbook. Screws were tiny, Other then that it went off without a hitch. T . . .

Mi Problema

Hard drive would not boot while connected to the internal SATA cable but would boot correctly when placed into an external USB carrier.

Mi Solucion

The repair process was very easy. Remove the laptop bottom cover, unscrew and remove the hard drive hold down brackets, unplug the hard drive from the SATA cable the . . .

Mi Problema

A client gave me a mid-2012 MacBook Pro for recycling after he'd replaced it. The computer rarely would boot at all. It wasn't the hard drive.

I kept the computer around, loathe to recycle something that seemed close to working.

I had bought the new part to see if it improved another client's comp . . .

Mi Problema

My old SATA cable wasn't able to transfer files as fast as my new SSD's disk speeds (1/5th the speed)

Mi Solucion

Works great! My new SSD works find because of the new cable.

Mi Consejo

Buying a new SSD? Buy this cable. (Get the one with the bracket. It helps.)

Mi Problema

MacBook cable was damaged.

Mi Solucion

It was easy to replace and so far it works well.

Mi Consejo

If your Apple warranty is expired, try to repair this yourself rather than taking your MacBook to Apple.

Mi Problema

MacBook Pro worked fine with stock hard disk but refused to boot with SSD in place. Even erasing SSD was finicky and produced partitioning errors I'd never before seen.

Mi Solucion

Easy! In troubleshooting, I happened to have another client's same-model Mac on hand to briefly swap in their storage data cable and . . .

Mi Problema

Hard drive cable - MacBook pro was running loops with bad contact to harddisk. I checked this by reinstalling Lion OS X externally on a hard drive. This worked so my assumption that the cable was faulty proved itself.

Mi Solucion

I tried a cheap cable from amazon but people i tell you what a waste of time and m . . .
