Apple's introduction of the MacBook Unibody 13" introduced a new case milled from a single brick of aluminum. Also new to this version is a switch to SATA optical drives and the controversial loss of a Firewire port.
The MacBook Unibody 13" can be upgraded to 8GB of RAM using two PC3-8500 4 GB RAM chips. The hard drive can also be upgraded to a hefty, yet agile 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive.
