Excessive fan noise from right fan in my early 2008 MB Pro.

Very well. The repair guide was very thorough. I would recommend having some electrical tape handy to help reseal the fan to the exhaust gate.
Mi Consejo
Discharge all static from hands before touching the inside of the machine.
