My daughter shattered her front panel. I bought the replacement kit with the tools. I researched other places but settled on iFixit.

Repair went great. So glad I got the kit. The tools were great and the guide was spot on. Pay the extra money and get your parts from iFixit. It would have been a disaster without the proper tools. I have an old 3G that I think I'll fix next.
Mi Consejo
The only hiccup was loosening the glue up that holds all the broken glass. Next time I'm going to try the oven bake method for loosening the glue. Heat gun just wasn't good enough.
