No sound from iPhone 5

Mi Problema

My sound on my phone quit. After talking with apple they wanted me to send it in without a replacement or knowing how long it could take. Not wanting to be without my phone I researched every possible solution. I tried the headphone and power cord tricks and even tried to download a software fix from Apple. When I found this ifixit solution and the reasonable price I figured it couldn't hurt to try it.

Mi Solución

The video made it extremely easy to open and navigate the inner workings of my phone. I had the part replaced within 10 minutes. I chose to buy a new antenna rather than peeling and re-using the old one, but I'm sure the old one was fine. I was overwhelmed with how simple the process was and it actually worked!

Mi Consejo

Get the tools and review the video before you purchase so you see what your getting into. If your not handy with tiny parts then let someone else do it. Once you drop a screw it is extremely hard to find it.
